Enjoy!

The Date Night Box

Image
In the interests of - well - staying happily married, my husband and I are launching a new little project. It's called 'The Date Night Box'. Isn't it cute? It's my husband's idea - we were always thinking of awesome date night ideas, then forgetting about them! So, the other night we wrote down our ideas. I thought we'd just get a few ideas down, since we were both really tired. But no, we got started and just kept going! We thought of 22 ideas for date night! That's over five months worth of weekly date nights! Wow! We need somewhere to store these wonderful ideas, of course. It's been a while....

.......I've not had time to blog lately: I was busy and now I'm just tired! 'Twinkle' is due in less than 8 weeks (whether we actually see 'Twinkle' on time is another matter - my babies are always late!) and I'm starting to feel reeeeeeeally big. I waddle. It's a big deal to pick up stuff off the floor and bath children! I've been having a bit of a pity party, as well, to be honest. My man goes away for five weeks on Monday and while he's home on weekends, he'll be doing a very intense course! I'm rather jealous for his attention, so I always hate it when he goes away and does something interesting or intense. My three year old is driving me crazy. He does the silliest things. Last night he was squeezing toothpaste out onto his finger and wiping it on the toilet roll next to the toilet. Seriously. WHY? He hasn't figured out poos go in the toilet yet but he's generally OK with wees. Every day is starting to feel like a slog wi...

Conventional vs Natural

I've had to come face to face with some hard facts lately. I've known since I was about 18 that I'm sensitive to gluten and dairy products. But it wasn't life threatening, so I've just bodged along, sometimes going hard core and not eating any gluten or dairy and other times eating whatever I wanted until I got sick and had to slow down a bit. Mostly I've maintained a bit of a middle road, prefering to eat gluten or dairy free, but eating other stuff if I felt I could tolerate it. Not any more. I"ve had some worrying trends with my health lately and so the gluten-and-dairy-free diet has begun. I'm tired just thinking about having to think and cook gluten-free and dairy-free meals! But I just wanted to share how the solution to my health concerns came about. I've been to my GP and had some tests done which all, worryingly, came back negative (apart from a sinus infection). NOT ONCE did she mention that my condition may have something to do with...
